Working in the Zone

Summary: Like basketball player Michael Jordan's playing "in the zone," working in the zone reflects one's total involvement. It is a state of being completely focused, in tune with the task, alive with energy, and living in the moment. It requires optimism. Work draws on both spiritual and psychological skills, sharing with others, and dealing with difficulties. Work that does not stimulate us to grow may leave us stagnant.
