Conditional Double Sampling

Summary: Proposed are conditional double sampling procedures that have operating characteristic curves identical to "comparable" double sampling procedures, but are operationally different since the results of the second sample, if required, are obtained from a related lot rather than the current lot. The proposed procedures provide practicing quality personnel an alternative to conditional sampling procedures such as chain sampling and dependent stage sampling, and, in addition, are simple to use with universally available operating characteristic curves found in MIL-STD-105D.
