Summary: The discrete distribution of the failures to test completion has been tabulated for the eight sequential tests of MIL-STD-781C. These tables are the result of an exact method of calculations and include the cumulative probabilities for ( values of (o, (1, one-half the quantity (o + (1 and 2(o. The cumulative probabilities for termination in both acceptance and rejection decisions are listed. An example is presented whereby a cost model incorporates these results in determining the optimum number of spare units to schedule as replacements for units that fail during a test.
