A General Continuous Sampling Plan for Controlling the AOQ

Summary: The Beattie continuous sampling plan (CSP), although not devised to deal with a product that is rectifiable, can be used in that situation and possesses certain advantages over other plans. We discuss sampling plans using the average outgoing quality limit (AQL) criterion and show that the Dodge continuous sampling plans are special cases of the Beattie CSP with non-integer parameters. We also provide a table of some AOQL plans for the Beattie CSP for various sampling fraction values.
