Modified Desirability Functions for Multiple Response Optimization

Modified desirability functions are proposed featuring differentiable points that allow for the use of more efficient gradient-based optimization methods. The extra flexibility of the proposed functions permits different priorities to be assigned among the responses. The methodology is applied to a semiconductor industrial process where multiple responses are common.
