Joint Estimation: SPC Method for Short-Run Autocorrelated Data

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.] The use of joint estimation (JE) outlier detection is evaluated as a statistical process control method for short-run autocorrelated data. The ability of JE to differentiate between four distinct out-of-control observations allows detection of different problems in the process. The method is demonstrated on both AR(1) models and MA(1) models.
