A Modified Path of Steepest Ascent for Split-Plot Experiments

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]In industrial experiments, response surface methodology is often used to find the optimal conditions for the design factors. Many of these experiments involve randomization restrictions and can be considered split-plot experiments. Three methods are proposed for calculating the coordinates along the path of steepest ascent within a split-plot structure.
