Model and Distribution-Robust Process Optimization with Noise Factors

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]The recently proposed idea of model form-robustness using a Bayesian predictive approach is extended to cases where there is uncertainty due to noise factors and to the distributional assumptions of the errors. Two examples from the literature, one based on a factorial experiment and another on a mixture experiment, illustrate the proposed approach.
