Economic Design of CSP-1 Plan Under the Dependent Production Process and Linear Inspection Cost

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]It has been argued that in the economic design previously presented of a type 1 continuous sampling (CSP-1) plan under the linear inspection cost, the production process is seldom independent. The problem is addressed with the economic design of a CSP-1 plan under the dependent production process and linear inspection cost. A solution is developed to identify the unique combination that will meet the average outgoing quality limit requirement while minimizing the total expected cost per unit produced during one inspection cycle.
