Multidimensional Mixed Sampling Plans

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]Mixed sampling plans are widely used in modern quality control systems because the use of separate sampling plans for different quality characteristics would be costly and time consuming. A multidimensional mixed sampling plan (MDMSP) is based on multidimensional quality characteristics and is designed to control overall quality of a lot or process. The design of a MDMSP plan is provided in detail with tables and illustrations, and recent work by several researchers is discussed. The main advantage a MDMSP has over other plans is that the same protection is provided with a smaller size sample.
