Optimization of Correlated Multiple Quality Characteristics Using Desirability Function

Summary: [This abstract is based on the author's abstract.]The desirability function approach is frequently used to simultaneously optimize multiple quality characteristics problems, but this approach usually ignores the variation and correlation between the quality characteristics. A technique is proposed to optimize the correlated multiple quality characteristics based on the modified double-exponential desirability function. Two examples from previously published articles demonstrate the implementation and effectiveness of the technique.
