An Economic Analysis for Product and Process Design

Summary: [This abstract is based on the author's abstract.]Cost analysis at the design stage is necessary to assure the best possible quality-price combination. An economic analysis is proposed that can be conducted along with known parameter design methods. The model minimizes the total expected quality costs, including the cost of using a set of factor levels and its expected quality loss.
