Implementing the Cooperative Learning Process in the Classroom

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.] The argument is made that using certain TQM (total quality management) practices like teamwork and empowerment can facilitate the cooperative learning process. This is an extension of previous works that recommend the cooperative learning process as one way to enhance learning skills. In a test case, TQM practices are compared with a traditional approach in the teaching of undergraduate production operations management classes.
