More Reliable, Faster, Cheaper Testing with Software Reliability Engineering

Summary: [This abstract is based on the editor's abstract.] Software testing often delays marketing and increases the cost of the product without assuring reliability. Software reliability engineering designs and develops testing that prevents these problems. The desired functionality for a product is delivered more efficiently by quantitatively characterizing its expected use. Quantitative reliability, schedule, and cost objectives are thus set as criteria for release.
