A Process Model for Small Software Organizations

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]Cost and time constraints often prevent small organizations from focusing on quality. It is demonstrated how these small companies can streamline and perfect their existing resources to enable them to produce quality software. Small to medium-sized software companies were surveyed to identify root causes of why they did not follow standardized global quality approaches. Research was concluded with the presentation of a process model suitable for small software enterprises.
