Risk Management: A Practical Toolkit for Identifying, Analyzing, and Coping with Project Risks

Summary: [This abstract is based on the author's abstract.]A "risk" is anything that causes negative deviations from the stakeholder's requirements for a project. Since not all risks can be identified in advance, risk management is used to identify the risks, then to take action to remove, reduce, or control negative results. Risk management must be integrated into all implementation and operational processes for systems. "Planguage," a planning language and set of system engineering methods, is described as a method to handle risks. The Planguage method utilizes impact estimation (IE), evolutionary delivery (Evo), and specification quality control (SQC).
