Software Measurement Using SCM

Summary: [This abstract is based on the author's abstract.]Software configuration management (SCM) systems allow a team to work on the same software with less risk of overwriting each other's work. SCM systems can also be used to identify files in a release. A method is proposed to use the project history stored in the SCM system to identify problematic areas of the code. In addition, it is shown how the SCM system can be used to monitor the progress of a project.
