Improving Resistivity of Urea Formaldehyde Resin Through Joint Modeling of Mean and Dispersion

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.] In an earlier study using resin data for improving the resistivity of urea formaldehyde by setting process parameters, it was noted that variances of the responses are non-constant and affected by some factors. To identify the factors affecting variance, the analysis of variance method was used for signal-to-noise ratio, but the method sometimes dismissed important factors as insignificant. This study proposes joint modeling for the mean and dispersion, resulting in a different analysis for the resin data.
