A Split-Split-Plot Design of Experiments for Foil Lidding of Contact Lens Packages

Summary: This series of experiments evaluated a variety of contact lens packages for the seal properties of their foil lids using a split-split-plot design. Seal temperature was found to be the most important parameter in determining seal properties, but all parameters had a statistically significant influence. In particular, dwell time for optimal seal strength goes down as temperature goes up.
