Tort-Martorell views George Box's legacy as having two main areas: research and dissemination. He acknowledges that Ramírez has done an outstanding job of covering the research side of Box’s legacy, and proceeds to recognize the industrial statistics giant's contributions on the dissemination side, contributions that the author describes as a crusade in favor of learning to learn that covers management as well as science and engineering.
