Giving it Your All Five Principles for Creating a Culture of Excellence

Summary: In the second of a two-part series, the authors continue their discussion on the creation of a culture of excellence in an organization by focusing on the quality of person-to-person interaction within the group. In the earlier article, the first two of the “five laws of stratospheric success” were examined. Those laws describe how to create value and impact in business interactions. This article addresses the three remaining tenets. The third principle gives a formula for creating genuine influence through networking. The fourth law, the law of authenticity, says that the most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself. The last principle, the law of receptivity, says that the key to effective giving is staying open to receiving, because giving and receiving can operate fully only when working in tandem. A sidebar article reviews the plot of the authors’ book, The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea, as well as the five laws of stratospheric success.
