Educator's World: Exploring Sources of Variation in Learning Outcomes

Summary: This article explores four possible sources for variation in learning outcomes experienced for the same instructor, teaching the same material, at different times. Class size, class composition, seasonal influence, and external factors outside the training venue may all account for variation. Although more explanations may exist, these sources of variation offer insight for instructors and may lead to possible adjustments to enhance overall quality of learning outcomes.
