Summary: The International Team Excellence Award (ITEA) started in 1985 and had since seen 1,150 teams from 26 countries participate. These teams presented projects that ultimately saved their companies or organizations money and time, with steps geared toward ITEA criteria. Key forces focused on are technology and information exchange, changing workforces, the role and practice of quality, and increasing adaptability. ASQ's Future of Quality studies have unveiled two more key forces: preparing for change and improving customer experience.
