Summary: It is important for organizations and leaders within those organizations to have an established set of positive values that allow employees to feel that their contributions reach out to the community. A 2015 survey by Futurestep shows that Millenials value contributions to society much higher than salary, raises, and paths of advancement when seeking out jobs. However, Millenials are not the only age group to hold these values, and so it is important that for organizations to stay innovative and competitive, they must look to include more community focus amongst their priorities. When employees feel that their contributions are beneficial to the community, they can rise to become strong leaders who continue to promote the positive values their organization represents.
