Optimizing Your Green Belt Coaches’ Network

Summary: Coaches play an important role in the education of Lean Six Sigma methods to a business or organization. Coaching networks in these environments most often include master black belts teaching alongside black belts, and their lessons are aimed at green belts. There are several types of network configurations, such as a vertical network with information streaming down from master black belts to black belts and then to green belts, or a horizontal network that facilitates learning and discussion across all levels equally. Several discussion topics that are key to successful projects are defining the project, setting down rules and goals for the team, processes for meeting those goals, and lessons learned along the way.
