On the Reliability of the Self-Dual k-Out-of-n Systems

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.] The variation and reliability of a class of k-out-of-n systems are considered under different assumptions. Highly reliable self-dual k-out-of-n systems may be achieved by maintaining the reliability of the components at level of performance above one-half. The asymptotic results are similarly applied to systems with multiple self-dual k-out-of-n subsystems.
