Robust Multivariate Tolerance Regions - Influence Function and Monte Carlo Study

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.] A class of multivariate tolerance regions is discussed that are proven to be more resistant to outliers than those currently available. The tolerance factors are evaluated under the central model, and the sensitivity to deviations from normal distribution for moderate samples is studied in a Monte Carlo experiment. The influence function of the coverage probability is used to compare the sensitivity of different proposals to anomalous data.
