Optimal Semifoldover Plans for Two-Level Orthogonal Designs

Summary: [This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.] This article examines semifoldover, a technique examined in other literature as an alternative to foldover for selecting followup experimental runs for regular two-level fractional factorial designs. It compares semifoldover plans for regular and nonregular orthogonal designs. General properties of semifoldover designs are discussed, as is a hidden projection property of optimal semifoldovers of 12- and 20-run orthogonal arrays.
