Comparing Spatial Predictions

Summary: The authors develop a hypothesis test for detecting significant differences in the spatial predictions of two competing models under a general loss function. The test assumes only isotropy and short-range spatial dependence of the loss differential. The test is illustrated with a Monte Carlo simulation and an example based on daily average wind speeds.
